My thoughts on 2020, a truly extraordinary year

As a coach I encourage all my clients to adopt a growth mindset, to always learn from the ups and downs of life and to both look back and look forward in equal measure. And at the end of every year I share my learnings in the form of a list. This year, however, has been altogether different so instead you get my artistic interpretation instead.
The style was borrowed from my son's year 2 home learning project where he was asked to create a 'happy newspaper' much like the one Emily Coxhead produces. I played along and 15 weeks later I finally stopped producing my own lockdown newsletter for friends and family.

In 2020 I realised I absolutely love drawing with fine liners and the physical act of sitting down every week to produce something that people were expecting (I got messages when publication was a little late and desperate pleas to reconsider when I decided to stop) really helped my own mental health in lockdown #1.

So, I hope you enjoy reading this summary as much as I enjoyed writing and drawing it.

Happy New Year!
